Washington School will be educating parents on how to help kids with literacy through the ‘"Shaping Literate Minds" program on Friday, January 25 from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.

Teachers will model how to read to or with their child and will learn how to support the child's thinking before, during & after the reading.

The Quincy Public Library will also be in attendance to get families signed up for library cards.

Students will get involved, too by decorating the front of reading journal and picking a book to build their personal library for home.
