The Quincy Fire Department has released the cause of a fire earlier today on Quincy's north side. Quincy Fire Chief Joe Henning says the fire at 917 N. 4th St. was electrical in nature. The fire was caused by an improperly used/maintained extension cord. No one was injured in the fire. The home is a complete loss.
Quincy Firefighters were called to a fire 917 N. 4th Street around 12:30 p.m. Thursday.
Heavy smoke was visible as crews battled the three-alarm fire.
