most bikes are stolen from kids that don't ride them, and leave them lying in their yard. My guess is the bikes were taken from the same yard, or close, and when the thieves got to their destination, they ditched them.

I know they don't give the bikes to people who don't report them missing and they'll need a serial number or other identifying marks. And the report needs to be prior to the claim it is their's.

Thanks for all the kind words. The school board did reinstate most of my stipend for this season. They still do not give any support to the program itself, but we are doing fine with grants and donations.

Adults Coping With Grief Support Group Meeting

Group will meet on Tuesday, June 17

The Adults Coping With Grief Support Group will meet on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 from 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at the Curtis Creek Retirement Living Center which is located at 823 S. 36th Street, in Quincy, IL. The group meets in the Second Floor Library.  Rev. Judith Taylor will facilitate this group. The Blessing Cancer Center cosponsors the group.

This support group focuses on all aspects of grief, loss, and sorrow, trusting life once again and enjoying the present moment with new insights and hope for the future.  It is open to all who have experienced loss recently to cancer or in the last three years.

Those planning to attend this meeting, or who have questions, should contact Rosie Scott, Blessing Cancer Center, 217-223-8400, ext. 7709.
