Never heard of such a thing. Cities and counties along with townships submit their request, then CMS uses that total for their RFP. If a supplier cannot meet that total then I would guess some could be left off the RFP total, but have never heard of that. The other comment states " bids range from $70 to $140 per ton" so why is Quincy paying $95 per ton? Still I have never heard of CMS cutting off…

Proceeds will go to the Friends of Shannon Peters Fund

On April 5th, 2014 the Quincy University Greek organizations Delta Tau Delta, Alpha Omicron Pi, and Phi Sigma Sigma will host the 2nd annual 5K Color Run and one mile Color Fun Walk in honor of Shannon Peters. Shannon, a QU student and member of the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority, was severely injured after being struck by a car while crossing Chestnut Street on January 7th, 2013. All of the proceeds will go to the Friends of Shannon Peters Fund. Donations are welcomed and appreciated.

 Early registration, which began February 24th, is $20 for Quincy University students and $25 for members of the public. Regular registration, which begins March 17th, is $25 for students and $30 for the public until the day of the race. Registration on the day of the event begins at 11:00 am and is $35 for all. The runners and walkers registered by March 17th will be guaranteed a t-shirt. All participants will receive snacks, beverages, and an entry into the post-race raffle.

 
Check-in, late registrants, and the beginning of the race will take place in Parking Lot B of the QU campus on 18th Street. The race will start at 12:00pm and the one mile fun walk will begin at 12:15pm. For more information please contact Ashley Reese at strides4shannon@gmail.com
