How about the Mayor taking away the aldermen insurance, no one should be getting insurance for the hours they put in or how about cutting the number of aldermen in half? This would allow the fire station to remain open which is way more important than the aldermen and may allow for both QFD and QPD to add some bodies!

Quincy University is saddened to announce that Dr. John Schleppenbach, Quincy University professor of communication, passed away on Monday morning, February 24 at the age of 71. 

Affectionately known by many as simply “Dr. John”, Schleppenbach joined the Quincy University faculty in 1973 as an assistant professor of English. 

Dr. John and wife, Dr. Barbara Schleppenbach, associate professor of communication and chair of the division of fine arts, were instrumental in developing and expanding Quincy University’s communication department with almost 70 years of combined service to the Quincy University community.
