As should be. I don't see it being the end if the world, just put off a week. Little egg on the face, but, when doesn't that happen from time to time.

Reluctant to say the emperor wears no clothes perhaps? You would think the more experienced aldermen would have caught this. This is so infrequent though doesn't surprise me that nobody noticed at first.

Santa will be stopping by River Skate this Saturday the 14th from 1 pm to 4 pm

Santa will be stopping by River Skate this Saturday the 14th from 1 pm to 4 pm. He’ll spend his time skating with the kids and asking them what they want for Christmas while taking pictures and handing out candy canes. River Skate will also be open for regular skating that day from Noon to 9 pm.

                “We had a couple hundred skaters last year skate with Santa and we hope to have even more this year” says Chris Dye, owner of River Skate.

                River Skate opened this season in early November and will be open through February 23rd.  The ice rink is open to the public Wednesday through Friday from 4 pm until 9 pm and from Noon until 9 pm on Saturday and Sunday. River Skate will also be open extended hours during Winter Break again this year. They will be open from Noon until 9 pm every day from December 21st through January 5th (closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve with reduced hours on Christmas Eve). Admission is $4 for kids 8 and under and $6 for adults, which does include skate rental. The rink is also available for private parties, fundraisers and corporate events.
