Classes will focus on health education, dry land fitness and water fitness.
NuFit For You and Quincy University are teaming up to offer a special class specifically designed for baby boomers ages 50 and up. Kelly Baker, NuFit Personal Trainer and Coach, and Kathy Kovachevich, QU’s Director of Water Programs, will hold classes at the Quincy University Fitness Center on Wednesday from 1 to 2:30 pm.
The 6-week session will include 15 minutes of health education, 30 minutes of dry land fitness and 30-40 minutes of water fitness. Weekly topics for health education will include cardio/heart rate training, hydration, strength training/joint issues, stretching, nutrition and holiday survival plan, and emotional health.
The cost is $60 for the 6 week session, per participant – and is open to all members of the public
(i.e. they do not need to be a QU or NuFIT member to join the program). Registration and informational session is Wednesday, November 6th at 1 pm in the QU Fitness Center. At this time, instructors will answer questions, take payment for the program (for those interested in signing up for the program), instructors will weigh and measure each participant and obtain past health information. The 6 week session will begin November 13th and run through December 18th.
