Laura Zumdahl, vice president of nonprofit services with the Donors Forum will present “First Steps in Fundraising”, Tuesday, October 15 at 1:30 p.m. at John Wood Community College. The presentation will be held in the JWCC Library on the Quincy campus at 48th and Harrison. The program is free and reservations can be made by calling 217.641.4105.
The presentation will provide information on using electronic databases for grant searches. The electronic databases are available at the JWCC Library. JWCC is a partner of the Center for Effective Nonprofits and houses the West Central Illinois Philanthropy Center in the College’s Library. The center is free and open during the College’s regular library hours.
The Donors Forum is part of the Center of Effective Nonprofits (CEN). CEN assists nonprofit organizations in west central Illinois, northeast Missouri and southeast Iowa to promote community organizations as they improve the quality of life for those who they serve.
JWCC also offers a Non-Profit Management certificate to support area nonprofits. The certificate is approved for continuing education points by Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) International. Students can enroll for all or part of the 24 continuing education points.
