Two arrested on meth charges

Joseph Baker was arrested on outstanding charges and now faces new ones


Adams County Sheriff’s Officers and the West Central IL Drug Task Force were conducting a warrant investigation for Joseph Baker.  Baker was wanted on 2 outstanding Adams County warrants on 2 pending cases: FTA Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine and Aggravated Participation in Methamphetamine Production.

 Baker, 32 and listed as homeless, was located in a residence in the 2200 block of N 12th street.  During the warrant investigation, evidence of suspected meth use and suspected meth manufacturing was discovered.  Baker was arrested at the residence on the 2 warrants.  He was also arrested on a new Aggravated Participation in Meth Manufacturing case stemming from the evidence discovered in the residence during the warrant investigation. 

Ashlee Reed, 24, was also arrested on a traffic warrant as well as Aggravated Participation in Meth Production as a result of the investigation. 

Both were lodged in the Adams County Jail without bond.
