FRIDAY, January 25th
Monroe Elementary – Jump Rope for Heart – Video presentation by Jenna Cicciarelli Wiesner, Youth Market Director, American Heart Association Midwest Affiliate. Some students and teachers will be doing a jump rope challenge. Contact Penny Garner, PE teacher, 223-8871.
Quincy Senior High School – Blood Drive – 8am-12pm. Contact Danielle Edgar, 224-3770.
SPECIAL RECOGNITIONS
Isabella Green and Lily St. John, Dewey Elementary 2nd graders, won the community Martin Luther King Jr. essay contest. They will read their essays during the community Martin Luther King Jr. celebration service. Monday, January 21st, 10am, Bethel Church.
NEW SPECIAL PROGRAMS
Berrian Elementary - Extended Day Math Program– On Mondays thru Wednesdays from 7:10-7:40am. Students who need extra math help based on assessment data. Contact Chrissy Cox, 228-7691.
Early Childhood and Family Center - Love and Logic Parenting Class - Parenting Classes will teach techniques to help parents teach their children to be respectful, responsible and fun to be around! Classes run January 15th thru February 19th on Tuesdays at 9am and 5:30pm. Contact Vicki Davis, 228-7121
