Perhaps UKWP is trying to equate military service with "on the teat" teaching jobs. Of course there are many big differences, especially for military that are deployed, which is part of the job. There are indeed many public school teachers that see their unionized, teaching monopoly, "part time" job as a public service that demands the same respect as our military. Not many retire with PTSD, or…

And you're making the opposite mistake....saying that each thing, when added together, becomes a total justification. That's not how you justify expenditures. You have to make the case for EACH item in it's own right. And you do that compared to what it would cost to fix it in place...assuming you do have to fix it...which apparently we don't...because it hasn't been done.…

But if everything is already under construction, there is nothing that can be done. I have been involved with a lot of bid projects and there are always cost overruns. In fact, the contractors live for the over runs as it is how they make extra money. The words will be "change orders" and everyone will just have to bend over. I stick with my original post above, this project, if passed, will go…

If this was a responsible persons car it would of not got this bad, they would of took care of these issues as they came along, rather than waiting to dump 3 grand in at one time. But just for the sake of argument It sounds like this car has about 200,000 miles on it and its probably worth about $800, because cars don't hold their value especially when they are ragged out. So yea this is a no…

Strawman: Just Throw Money At It.....................

2 months, 4 weeks ago by Strawman

Thank you.   Sorry, but I thought it my place to say “thank you” since your State Department, the one run by John Kerry, just pledged 47 million of YOUR tax dollars to Hamas.  Something about “humanitarian aid” was noted on the check stub.  I believe it was in response to Israel bombing Gaza much to the chagrin of those in the Obama Administration.  The bombings are the result of the missile attacks on Israel by Hamas.  In laymen’s terms, Hamas started the fight, Israel is going to finish- it.

But let’s talk money.  The 47 million handed out the by State Department on YOUR behalf is yet another in a long list of insults to the American taxpayer.  Your government is giving money to the enemy of one of our allies (Israel).  And the funny part is, if there is such a thing, is that you and I are supposed to subscribe to the line that the 47 million will go to aid those who are now homeless due to the attacks on Gaza.  Really?  I guess we have something in common with Iran now.

Charles Krauthammer said it best the other night on Fox.  Speaking of the 47 million he said, “you know where that’s going to end up?  In concrete and tunnels and the making of new rockets.”

That comment was made after it was learned that the United Nations (Google “worthless money grabbing toothless tiger) discovered missiles inside a school in Gaza.  The U.N., instead of confiscating the missiles, gave them back to Hamas for future use.  You can’t make this stuff up.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2702485/Is-Hamas-using-human-shields-Gaza-UN-finds-TWO-stashes-rockets-hidden-school-makeshift-housing-3-000-displaced-Palestinians.html

And Krauthammer is exactly correct.  The United States of America is over 17 trillion dollars in debt and we’re handing out money to Hamas!!  That’s almost too obtuse to process.  How does the Obama administration explain that to Israel?  What does John Kerry possibly say to Benjamin Netanyahu?  Gee Prime Minister, you guys were kicking the crap out of Hamas, so we thought we would level the playing field?  Are you kidding?

And while we’re on the subject of money, let’s explore the 3.7 billion Mr. Obama has requested Congress provide him to help clean up the immigration invasion/crisis he and his friends brilliantly organized.  By the way, the amount in question is now up to 4.3 billion dollars---because the administration has tacked a few more things onto the bill--like 600 million to fight wildfires.

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2014/07/21/what-emergency-cbo-says-just-25-million-of-obamas-3-7-billion-border-bill-would-be-spent-this-summer/

But now there’s this:  according to the Congressional Budget Office only 25 million of the requested 4.3 billion in relief dollars would be spent by the end of the fiscal year 2014 (end of September), which makes one wonder when and where the rest of the money would really be spent.  Face it, the illegal aliens we have warehoused at various sites around the country aren’t going anywhere unless they’re deported. So, they have to be cared for, right?  And that means food, clothing, and all the other goodies that go along with keeping our “guests” healthy.  So who’s getting the money?  Lawyers, Obama cronies, drug cartels?  Or all of the above?

The federal government’s answer to solving problems is to throw money---OUR MONEY--- at every problem that comes up.  And then create more regulations and taxes designed to squeeze more money out of you and me. Is there anyone out there man or woman enough to point that out—and then put an end to the practice?

Some might say there’s a light at the end of the tunnel, but I fear it’s just Obama using high speed rail……….
