I think Carl is on his last legs and will be gone - none too soon. As for Dick M - finding out why he got ousted falls in the category of looking a gift weasel in the mouth. I will take this opportunity to repeat my creed - there is no such thing as a wasted vote if you vote for what you believe in.

So, those of using private haulers, who have been subsidizing garbage pick up for years for those who chose to use stickers, now get to pay even more? This isn't going to end well for the Kyle administration.

Been saying this for a couple years now, and I really heard about it last election cycle because I voted for Grimm instead of one of our two Chicago choices. Keep the faith, we're never gonna get a good candidate untill we start to peel off the "I voted for the lesser of two evils" cowards, and get them on our side. I always wondered why Dick Morris lost his job at FOX (as he should have)…

I decided to hold off prejudging the movie as "crap" but if I was betting money I would bet it is crap. Only thing that could save it "gratuitous nudity".

I have been thinking the same thing, is there a $1000 tax in the works for UPS, FedEx and DHL? Maybe the Federal Government should take a page out of this administrations play book and levy a tax on their competitors trucks. and I am with you on the list of customers, that seems to be serious overreach on the part of any government. The s**t storm of the city rejecting privatization just keeps…

Strawman: Half a Peace Sign is Better Than None

6 months, 2 weeks ago by Strawman

Now, if you were the president and were about to issue another executive order granting the EPA permission to roll out a series of costly and unpopular regulations, would you:

  1. Stand tall and allow John Podesta’s to wedge his face firmly against the backside of your presidential trousers?

  2. Make the Taliban happy by providing them with 5 of their top killers in exchange for 1 American deserter?

  3. High tail it to the Ukraine where you could pretend to be presidential, avoid the American press and make a few more promises you don't intend to keep?

  4. How about all of the above?

A distraction, in this Strawman’s humble opinion, is what this Bowe Burgdahl thing is all about.  Obama needed a heavy duty distraction and trading a deserter for 5 Gitmo detainees was just what the doctor ordered.  Flavored with the facts that the move was totally illegal, uncalled for and unnecessary---AND, once again, circumvented those on the hill.  Why, even Diane Feinstein was pissed!!!  Could it get any better than that?

You see, Obama doesn’t care what anyone thinks. He’s been given a punch list of things to do to cut this country down to size and he’s running out of time.  Why else was John Podesta “added” to the roster last year?  Answer: to help keep Mr. Obama on track and help move the country further left.  Podesta is there to prop up the prez—to keep singing the co2 jingle---and help further tax the middle class with higher energy costs.  It’s really pretty simple.

But the funny thing is the way the media has handled this this so far.  They bit hard on the Bergdahl story from the git-go.  They’ve spent hours speculating as to “the reasons behind the deal” and “is Bergdahl a deserter?” and “here’s what the guys who served with Bergdahl had to say about him crowd.”  It’s tragic, yet funny.  And it’s exactly what the president both wanted and needed right now.

Michelle Malkin did a piece on Burgdahl’s “capture” 5 years ago and asked all the questions you’re hearing now. (http://www.nationalreview.com/article/379499/bergdahl-story-you-havent-heard-michelle-malkin) I’ve included a story from Steve Hayes (http://www.weeklystandard.com/author/stephen-f.-hayes) that provides quotes from those who served with Bergdahl in Afghanistan---in the event you haven’t had enough already. And there’s plenty more out there including some that portray Burgdahl as Captain America reincarnated---and others that don’t.

But at the end of the day it’s all about pushing the nation’s hot button---in this case the military--- while, at the same time, deflecting attention away from the disaster that is the latest EPA power grab.  As George W. would say, “mission accomplished!!”

The only thing Obama hasn’t done in public is flip off the country with both hands.  But stay tuned….he does have a couple of years left on this term so I'm confident he'll get around to it.
