I agree on that and made no claims otherwise. I didn't mention in a car, you are. If there is a seat belt check and see I have it on, why do they need to see my ID? Probably because it's more than a seatbelt check in reality. Kind of like the dog that "hits" on a car that has no drugs in it can be used to search the car.

Do you expect the voters to make a difference? I don't. Can those actually paying taxes simply move out of Illinois? Where would these hypocrites get their pay checks then? Once the taxpayers are gone, the over taxed businesses would follow, they couldn't get tax breaks, only thing left in IL is the politician, the overworked gov't worker, and the subsidized IL resident!

The police operate under the constitution. They know what those are, they deal with it day in and day out. They are kept abreast of court rulings one-way or the other. If you feel they acted unconstitutionally on the street, that is adjudicated in a court room in front of a judge, NOT on the street. You do not get to decide on the street what is constitutional or not. The police know what is and what…

Strawman: #Is This Really Your President?

3 months, 3 weeks ago by Strawman

I want you to take a look at this kid’s face.  Look closely and you’ll see the image of your son, your nephew or the kid that used to come over and play in your back yard.  His name is U.S. Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi.  According to the authorities in Mexico Tahmooressi is guilty of gun running.  He also attempted to escape from a Mexican prison.  And he tried to commit suicide while in custody.

Yes, U.S. Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi, a veteran of 2 tours in Afghanistan and suffering from PTSD is guilty---of making a wrong turn and winding up in Mexico with 3 guns in his truck---over 2 months ago.

Tamara Holder of Fox News (http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2014/05/26/why-is-team-obama-unable-to-bring-home-marine-held-in-mexico/) does a wonderful job of painting the picture of this Marine’s demise—much better than I could.  Take a moment—read the piece and ask yourself: why is this kid still in a Mexican jail?

The problem I have with this American war hero’s situation is no one, save for a very few, seem to give a damn that this young man is still incarcerated and awaiting help from the country he served admirably for six years.

No one in the Obama administration cares. Not John Kerry, not Chuck Hagel, and, of course, not Barack Obama.

And apparently, no one in the media cares either.

This is the same media that gets its panties damp when the president flies to Afghanistan for surprise visit.  But this is also the same group of "journalists" who look the other way when one of ours, in this case, Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi, gets in a jam and needs help.

If the president really cared he would have done the right thing this past weekend.  He would have flown to Mexico and picked this kid up himself on Sunday and then taken Sgt. Tahmooressi to Arlington with him on Monday.  If the president were a real person and not the sock puppet he is, he would have had Sgt. Tahmooressi, in full dress uniform, on stage with him--and, in doing so, made his Memorial Day address something much more than the collection of empty words it turned out to be.

Barack would have been the hero he thinks he is JUST by doing that.  Seems like pretty simple stuff.

But Obama didn’t do the right thing, because the president doesn’t have the time or desire to come to the aid of Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi.  Just like he didn’t have the time to help Christopher Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty.  He was "busy".  But we, after over 18 months, still don't know who or what he was "busy with."

It's obvious that Christopher Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone Woods, Glen Doherty and now Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi are not “his people.”

So to those of you who think the current regime is on the job to protect you, your family and your rights, just remember Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi.  Or how about this?  Go to Twitter and tweet #get this kid out of a Mexican jail NOW!!!    Maybe that will help.  Or shouldn’t Mrs Obama have tweeted that along with a photo of her sad face by now?
