I agree!!! I'm tired of the answer to everything being raise taxes. And if they aren't raising taxes they are trying to come up with new taxes to get even more out of us.

Term limits is only 1 reason Durbin MUST lose. He voted for BOhealthcare, he wants immigration reform and amnesty, he voted to raise taxes, he was involved in the IRS scandal against citizens free speech and free choice, he votes party lines without representing the people. He is a lying democrat thru and thru. I have emailed him my opinion many, many times and when he responds he is ALWAYS on the…

One important factor for me is missing from this article. How many politicians/bureaucrats have served time in jail for Cook and Iroquois counties? The question is not only quantity of government but quality of government.

You mean they should just keep on footing the bill for every freaking thing? I say the taxpayer has had it! Time to put the goose that lays the golden eggs on a diet. Lets start by cutting our city council and county board in half. Next, every state employee making over $100,000 takes a 10% pay cut. That would be a good start.

Are employees allowed to have their cell phones in the building?? - if so then this is a stupid rule. I doubt the "efficiency" of our government will be impacted much by a cell phone that is turned off.

Strawman: Honey, Have You Seen My Race Card?

3 months, 1 week ago by Strawman

I was listening to one of the conservative talk show guys whining about the lack of media coverage of the IRS scandal and I thought to myself, “what does this guy want?”  What good will it do to continue to play “what if” and “why don’t they?” as it pertains to the IRS, Lois Lerner, Benghazi, Hillary Clinton, Eric Holder and the slop bucket that is Washington D.C.?  Even a lowly Midwesterner like me can see the handwriting on the wall; those on the left are untouchable.  They are the chosen few who can do no wrong and are in the celebratory spotlight no matter what the issue.

Take Lois Lerner.   Should she be incarcerated? Emails tying her to the targeting of Tea Party groups and additional information indicating she was behind the release of confidential information to the media should be more than enough.  But it won’t be.  She’s protected.  And how dare you and I think otherwise?

Nor will the most recent development that links Democrat Elijah Cummings to the IRS.  New emails show that he coordinated with the IRS to target TRUE TO VOTE, a conservative organization based in Texas and founded to eliminate voter fraud.  Yes Fred, this is the same Elijah Cummings who got his boxer/briefs in a bunch a few weeks ago (http://abcnews.go.com/US/video/irs-scandal-congressmen-clash-lois-lerner-takes-supposed-22784888) at the IRS hearings when he wasn’t allowed air his opinions on the travesty the hearings are and forever will be.

But Cummings is black, and he’ll be playing the race card as soon as he gets it back from Eric Holder.

Holder, one of my all-time favorites, has been charged with contempt of Congress. (http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2014/04/a-fed-up-eric-holder-goes-after-congress-unprecedented-unwarranted-ugly-and-divisive/).  The only surprise here is that it didn’t happen sooner. Mr. Holder has been in the four corner offense for a few years now-running the clock—all while poking his index finger into the chest of a score of conservatives who have asked, pleaded and begged for him to produce documents pertaining to FAST AND FURIOUS.  Yes, that FAST AND FURIOUS---that happened about a million years ago.  To sum things up; Holder was pinned down in public, didn’t care for the treatment, told a republican representative, “not to go there”, and now, along with the race card, has cast himself in the role of the victim.

Speaking at Al Sharpton’s National Action Network convention in New York Wednesday, Holder called the confrontation he experienced the day before evidence of “ugly and divisive” civil rights challenges that face him and Mr. Obama.

So, what’s new?

Here’s what’s not new; this administration successful dismantling of the system that once made this country great.  We have a collection of re-regulators, goalpost movers, and bold face liars who are calling the shots while those in the good old white boy wanna be somebody network take turns going on the Sunday shows and Fox News to talk about how bad those Democrats are.

News flash right-handers---the lefties are kicking your butt!!!  And you’ve either been bought off or are too dumb to belly up to these guys.  Were I a betting man I’d be thinking somebody done cut you a check.  Are you listening Paul Ryan?
