GoQuincy - Former Alderman to run in Quincy\'s 3rd Ward - Quincy, IL News - QuincyJournal.com
Bob is a very nice guy and served well before but I think it is time for some new blood. I think this "appointment" is old school politics as usual. Must have been some give and take associated with it.
GoQuincy - Hearing Aid Volume Control: There’s an app for that - Quincy, IL News - QuincyJournal.com
There are a lot of other hearing aids on the market other than the "extreme" and very expensive type mentioned in the above article. Those others are even offered by QMG such as the ones I have for each ear. Hearing aids are like any other digital, electronic device and are always being updated as technology advances. They like anything else and range in price.
WarCry - Lovelace back in court Monday - Quincy, IL News - QuincyJournal.com
In 2010, Philip Diaz was held on a murder charge with a $1,000,000 bond. This one is more, obviously, but it doesn't really matter when you're talking about that big of a number. But for argument's sake, you have to consider the nature of the crime. Diaz shot and killed someone in a moment of anger and passion, a person he probably didn't know all that well. Mr. Lovelace is accused…
AYHSMB - Council tables insurance vote - Quincy, IL News - QuincyJournal.com
Convoy> It's too bad some of you union boys just don't have any integrity when it comes to jobs. Take the best paying whether you're qualified or not. Kind of like cheating, isn't it? Wait, it is cheating! I guess cheaters think everyone else is a cheater. You should also learn the difference between jealousy and contempt.

Eric Orne - Are you ready? Opportunity is knocking. Not too many, if any, have won state championships in both girls and boys. You can do it. Tom Lepper might be another candidate but his brother-in-law is principal.

Strawman: Another Deed That Will Go Unpunished........

1 year ago by Strawman

It was all about the video said Barack Obama. He said this back in September 2012 weeks before being reelected to a second term. It was all about the video said Barack Obama.  The lie was so good that Susan Rice appeared on five separate Sunday shows to tell everybody that the Benghazi attack was all about the video. Hillary Clinton said there was no attack-- it was all about THAT horrible video.   A video SO BAD our administration ran television commercials in Muslim countries to apologize for it.  And then, months later while giving testimony, Hillary Clinton asked, “what difference does it make?”

I suppose, Mrs. Clinton, it makes a difference to those who lost loved ones.  I mean, here we are 16 months after the Benghazi attack and the families of those killed and wounded still have no closure, the country has no closure, and the administration has no credibility. Here we are 16 months after the Benghazi attack and no one has been brought to justice, no one has been held accountable for their actions or lack thereof, and no one has been fired.   Susan Rice got a promotion, remember?  And you, Mrs. Clinton are gearing up to run for president.  Wow!!

Fox News (http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/01/13/benghazi-transcripts-top-defense-officials-briefed-obama-on-attack-not-video-or/)   has revealed in testimony given on June 26, 2013 that all we’ve been told by this administration has been false.  We now know that Leon Panetta, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama were informed on the evening of September 11, 2012 that the attack on the American Embassy in Benghazi was just that---an attack.  And that the Obama administration, rather than tell the truth, and, in doing so, risk losing the upcoming election, chose, instead, to fabricate a tale so far fetched that only a chump would believe it.  And chumps we all were.

In my wildest dreams I never thought I would be living in a country where black is no longer black and white is no longer white. We live in an age where we are continuously lied to and are expected to believe the lie. We are treated as chumps and then asked to prove that we’re not. We have taxation without representation---and there’s more on the way. We are being governed by those who no longer feel the need to hide their wrong doings.  Instead, by their actions and words, challenge you and I to do something about it.  The United States of America has become the home of taker and the hell with everyone else.

It says a lot when a President and his administration have been involved in numerous questionable events and have yet to be held accountable for any of them. It says a lot when officials near the top—the trusted leaders of the country—see and experience a wrongdoing and say nothing of it. It says a lot when good people are taxed and regulated into the poor house—their dreams shattered—their disposable income confiscated—their futures left in doubt.   It says a lot when a president who has fulfilled no promises in five years has now instituted something called “promise zones.”  Which, when translated means, “another bail out for those whose votes I need to buy.”

But this is the new “transformed America.  This is the land of social justice and fairness for all. This is the land of the new minimum wage---the land of immigration reform that’s endorsed by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.  This is the land where 92 million citizens don’t work, but the unemployment rate continues to go down.   This is the land of millionaires in Congress—multi-million dollar vacations for the first family and friends—and a healthcare bill nobody read—that nobody wants—but everybody, save for friends of the president—will have to deal with.

This land is my land, this land is your land……..well, it used to be.
