Your condescending attitude is just plain insulting. Thousands and thousands of small business owners have suffered in this economy over the past decade or so. Should we all "reinvent" ourselves? What an idiotic statement! It is patently obvious to me from the comments you have made in different discussions that you have lived a life of privilege and have never given an honest day's work in…

It's never going to be his fault....which is a good thing for him because if spring had done what this guy does regularly on his off hours we never would have heard the end of it

Strawman: Looking Forward to 2014? I'm Not So Sure.........

3 months, 3 weeks ago by Strawman

Now that 2014 is here one must take a look forward to see what might be in store for this great country of ours. As I’ve mentioned many times in this blog the problems that the country is currently experiencing are caused by those who are supposed to be leading us---- but they’re not. America’s greatest pain is being inflicted from within.  Top down—bottom up—there’s trouble right here in river city.

Moving into the New Year the policies that will ultimately dictate our future will not be made by Congress, or the Senate.  Neither is relevant.  Instead those decisions will be made by a number of nonelected officials, or “advisors”.  The four people who will be instrumental in moving Barack Obama’s agenda forward in the coming year are Cass Sunstein, Ezekiel Emanuel, John Podesta and Valerie Jarrett.  You may have heard of them, you may have not, but believe me, they are real and are working hard to get it all done in the remaining years of Obama’s second term.

Cass Sunstein:  The ultimate button pusher, Sunstein is the master of “the nudge.”  Over the last five years he’s written and helped implement a number of rules and regulations that have changed the direction and complexion of the country as we know it. Sunstein has authored a number of books including page turners like; “ A Constitution of Many Minds: Why the Founding Document Doesn’t Mean What It Meant Before,” “Why Societies Need Dissent,” and “Free Markets and Social Justice.”  And I’m sure you’ll want to pick up, “Why Nudge?: The Politics of Libertarian Paternalism: when it’s released in March of this year. Sunstein has also provided a couple of nuggets worth repeating like; “I think that every state in the union should recognize same-sex marriage.”  And then there’s my favorite,” The cash for clunker’s program was a big success in part because it gave people the sense that the economy was moving.”  I am truly moved.

Ezekiel Emanuel: the brother of current Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel is as bad a character as you can get. He’s a “thinning the herd guy” and makes no bones about it. He, along with a few other Obamaites, has gone out of his way to defend the un-defensible Affordable Healthcare Act and is a single-payer guy all the way. Here are a few of his comments that will further indicate what I’m talking about.

"There is a widespread perception that the United States spends an excessive amount on high-technology health care for dying patients. Many commentators note that 27 to 30 percent of the Medicare budget is spent on the 5 percent of Medicare patients who die each year. They also note that the expenditures increase exponentially as death approaches, so that the last month of life accounts for 30 to 40 percent of the medical care expenditures in the last year of life. To many, savings from reduced use of expensive technological interventions at the end of life are both necessary and desirable."  Wow!!! Hide Granny and the kids. For more insight on Dr. Zeke, I suggest you download the kindle version of “Healthcare, Guaranteed: A Simple, Secure Solution for America.”  And then go kiss your doctor right on the mouth-if you still have a doctor.

John Podesta:  being affiliated with ACORN, on the board of the Apollo Alliance (http://www.bluegreenalliance.org/apollo) president and CEO of Center for American Progress, Podesta’s credentials place him just about as far left as one can get.  He’ll be helping Obama executive order his way around Congress, making it even more worthless than it is now—if that’s possible. While serving as Bill Clinton’s chief of staff he headed up “Project Podesta”, which enabled Clinton to bypass Congress through the use of executive orders, presidential decision directives, White-House-sponsored lawsuits, vacancy appointments to high federal office, selective regulatory actions against targeted corporations, and a host of other extra-constitutional tactics. Sound familiar?

Podesta is a George Soros hired hit man all the way. He’s a climate change guy, and   has no use for the U.S. Constitution. Podesta is a kind of guy who will say one thing one day and vehemently deny he said it the next—or say his comments were taken out of context. He does that to distract and he does that very well.  His book, “The Power of Progress; How America’s Progressive Can (Once Again) Save Our Economy, Our Climate, and Our Country” released in 2008 gives the reader a better sample of where Mr. Podesta will be attempting to take this country.

Valerie Jarrett: playing the role of Obama supporter, confidant to Michelle Obama, and best friend in the world to the Obama family, Jarrett is really the person who controls this country’s 44thpresident. Jarrett programs Obama, pulls the strings, and has input on virtually everything that happens within the walls at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Valerie Jarrett is bad news. What's good for Valerie Jarrett is always bad for the United States of America. It's been rumored that Jarrett, an unelected official, was the person who issued the “stand down orders” that cost a number of American lives in Benghazi on September 11, 2012. You may notice that we’re 16 months into that mess and we still have no real answers. Gee, imagine that.  Darrell Issa continues to knock it out of the park.

Is 2014 a make it or break it year?  What do you think? With these four doing the blocking and heavy lifting, Obama’s version of fast break socialism will be turned up full speed. After all, who’s going to stop him? John Boehner?

This time next year, and I hope I’m wrong, we won’t have the time to worry about Obama as millions of us will be more concerned with the bubbling caldron that is heathcare.

Happy New Year.  Enjoy it.  It might be the last one we have.
