While it’s rare I weigh in twice in one week, Nancy Pelosi’s most recent observations on Obamacare compelled me to chime in. Yes friends, from the same face-lift that informed us that we would have to “pass the bill to find out what’s in it” came this brilliant observation earlier this week.
“Coming from where I do in California, I have great confidence in technology and it's ability to bring fresh eyes to the subject and fix it so that we can go forward. Just fix it. Just fix it. There certainly is accountability internally in terms of what decisions were made when and all of this, but I think that our focus and energy should be used to fix it because the American people are depending on it, and it’s going to be a beautiful thing in their lives to have that freedom of -- I keep talking about life, a healthier life, liberty, the freedom to pursue their happiness, not chained to a policy but able to follow their passion. And that’s how I see this. Fix the -- fix the technology, and let’s not get too bogged down in what happens if they’re not able to fix it. Because, as I say, I believe in technology.”
Now, if this isn't the epitome of stupidity I don’t know what is. The Affordable Healthcare Act is the Frankenstein created by Reid, Pelosi, and Obama and they, although they won’t, should take total ownership of it. Her assumption that, “the American people are depending on it,” would be laughable were the situation not so serious. America isn’t depending on it. America doesn’t want it. America never wanted it. Yes, there were some of those on the left who, while cloaking the healthcare issue as the right thing to do, are hoping that all of this will go the way of single payer which will give government the total control over the general population they desire. But America does not want more government intervention in their lives.
And her twisted view that, “it’s going to be a beautiful thing in their lives to have that freedom of -- I keep talking about life, a healthier life, liberty, the freedom to pursue their happiness, not chained to a policy but able to follow their passion,” is so wrong and so demented that I can’t believe she’s not been called out on it. But then again, this IS the same woman who said that “unemployment checks are one of the biggest stimulises to our economy”. Mrs. Pelosi provided that nugget in 2010. And again, we all just wrote that one off as Nancy being Nancy.
Look; I’m all for helping those who need help. There are plenty of deserving people out there who need a hand. Unfortunately we’re living in a world where a very few are dictating terms for the many, while choosing NOT TO PARTICIPATE in the programs they deem to be “the right thing to do” and "good for you and me."
Pelosi, Reid, Obama and anyone who voted for or is connected to Obamacare should be removed from office, their benefits and retirement revoked and them kicked to the curb. You're fired, sirs and madam. We the people deem you to be null, void and undesirable.
This citizen, a product of public schools and the private sector, has had enough. How about you?
