The month of October has been filled with the most confusing and indescribable events I can remember. The government was shut down for the first sixteen days of the month resulting in what used to be the Republican Party caving in to the whims of Harry Reid and Barack Obama. Nothing was resolved, no real deals were cut, save for the 2 billion dollar pork barrel project Senate Minority leader Mitch McConnell pushed through for his home-boys back in Kentucky at the 11th hour. So much for leadership from the right.
Healthcare.gov was introduced to the citizens of this country on October 1st with the window sticker still moist, only to freeze and stall and underperform like those who foisted it upon us. “Finally, healthcare for everybody!!!”, cried those at the White House and amplified by the media-shills on the left—only to leave the real citizens of the country holding the bag and a non-functioning mouse.
Those two items leave one to ask: “what the hell is going on here?”
Are we being led by those so ignorant that they’re unable to comprehend the mayhem of the moment? Are Obama and his minions so above the high priced disasters they’ve turned into the law of the land that you and I are to be perceived as idiots and malcontents should we point out the obvious? Is Twilight Zone creator, Rod Serling, leaning on a street lap, cigarette in hand, getting ready to introduce another black and white episode?
I’m not sure. But I am sure that the Affordable Healthcare Act has gotten the desired results for the White House. Obama, like this or not, didn’t want a smooth rollout of the new law. The two thousand plus page bill, filled with more twists and turns than a James Patterson novel, could be interpreted a dozen different ways. And has been—resulting in over 1.5 million words of new “rules”. Rules that have been put in place by non-elected officials—rules that will, and already have, affected the way our families live their lives.
The end result of Obamacare is a single payer plan; one where the Federal Government, and only the Federal Government, will be the starting and ending point for healthcare as we know it. That has always been the plan. And rolling out a totally worthless website and manning toll free “help lines” with un-trained and dysfunctional “navigators” was just fuel to fire.
You can call this latest Obama debacle what you like, but I call it “genius at work.” Right under our noses, Obama has installed “orchestrated incompetence” and made it acceptable. Sure, the media has played its role, but lack of pushback by the right has been the lubricant needed for this instrument to slide further into the nation’s loins.
Over the years Obama has been famous for his, “on one hand we have this and on the other hand we have this” point of reference. Using that framework I ask you this: “on one hand is the Obama regime just this damn incompetent or on the other hand are they just that corrupt and working the plan to perfection?”
Either way, the result is staring us in our faces and blowing its sour breath in our general direction. And, unfortunately for us, our hands are tied until someone decides that enough is enough and it’s time to start pushing back. And so the question remains; who does the pushing, and when can they start?
