Team Quincy: Game On in the IL 47th District Senate Race
10 months ago Bryan Nichols
After staying on the sidelines for awhile, former Illinois GOP gubernatorial candidate Adam Andrezejewski, whose record of wins with candidates he supports is pretty stellar, has decided to flex some muscle (and cash) in the Illinois 47th Senate District race between Randy Frese (R) and Sen. John Sullivan (D). It's my understanding that Andrezejewski has placed a large tv buy in the area with the ad below (they're certainly free to place a Quincy Journal buy as well :) ).
This is definitely a tough race . The Frese campaign has been to every soup supper, bake sale, dog and pony show, etc. that exists in West Central Illinois. While meeting the folks and raising Randy's name ID are important for a win, he will never have bigger name identification than John Sullivan due to Sullivan's family business (auction signs everywhere are helpful). Defining the name Sullivan as "Chicago Democrat" and not "West Central Illinois Conservative Democrat" when people see the signs will be critical for a win in this race. This is certainly a step in the right direction on that front. Obviously, the Frese campaign isn't responsible for the ad as it is an independent expenditure. However, they will certainly benefit from it and I'm sure they appreciate the help. Hopefully, this will start a little momentum for this campaign.
