A referendum still needs to be passed and we all know how likely that is to happen. I remember when some certain "power brokers" tried to keep hydro alive with a blue-ribbon committee to "advise" the City on how to proceed. I also remember how that worked out. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't our School Board already on record as wanting to pay architects to design new schools and improvements to existing school buildings? The cart is already before the horse. This committee is just window dressing. The question isn't IF the Board will get what it wants, but only WHEN.
Don't know about breakdown of votes. Had to make a couple of calls to get information from the meeting. It is timely as it is the first meeting the Board has had since the judge's ruling and Madigan's comments. BG
