Strawman: Reason #3 Why Mr. Obama Doesn't Deserve a Second Term

In breaking down the numerous reasons why Mr. Obama doesn’t deserve a second term, one can just look back to the dates of July 12 and 13, 2012.  On July 12th, again pulling the “executive order club” out of the bag Obama un-did the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Act that was signed by Bill Clinton on August 22,1996.  In effect, President Obama, with the stroke of a pen, eliminated the “work clause”, meaning those persons on welfare were mandated to look for work.  Now they don’t have to.

Robert Rector, senior fellow of the Heritage Foundation, who was instrumental in writing portions of that Act, put it this way, “I happen to have written most of these requirements.  What the Obama administration has done is taken these and said (tears a sheet of paper).  They are gone!  They are out of the picture.  They no longer have any meaning in law, and we’re going to replace them with something else.  But you should trust us that we’re not planning to really alter the program. Their action was completely illegal, and it violates and wipes out the entire core of reform.”

There are 80 such welfare bills on the books, with just 3 containing a work clause.  And, after July 12th, there are now just two.

Hours later, while speaking in Roanoke, Virginia, President Obama informed those of us in the small business sector that “we didn’t build that.” Obama said, “If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business. you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn’t get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet.”

The President and his minions have attempted to walk that statement back repeatedly, but there are millions of us who have both heard and seen him say it.  By doing so, the President has again stepped out from behind the curtain to reveal who he really is.   These two major moves took place in the span of less than 48 hours.

Barack Obama doesn’t like you, your Constitution or your country.  If you’ve worked hard to become successful, have a family, are community minded and are fiscally responsible, you—according to Mr. Obama—are what’s wrong with the country.  He celebrates and lifts up those who won’t’ and castigates those of us who have.  White collar, blue collar, no collar or collar of the priesthood—doesn’t matter—he views all of you as income resources.  We pay the bills—he, and those around him—spend the money as they see fit.

And that, unfortunately, is the way it is………….for now.

On another note; I was surprised by the lack of effort put forth by those of you on the left last week to make a case for Barack Obama.  Only one person came forward with his reasons for casting his vote for Obama in November—just one.  We had comments from some of the usual snarky-nothing-to-say-folks, but just one liberal provided a case for our President.  And so it goes
