Strawman: Reason #2 Why Mr. Obama Doesn't Deserve a Second Term

9 months, 2 weeks ago

Barack Obama doesn’t deserve a second term because he lies.  It’s that simple.  Our current President isn’t trust worthy-and neither are his minions. Barack Obama has walked back more statements, had handlers and front men explain “what he meant”, and has been taken “out of context” more than anyone ever to reside at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.  Never has anyone who talks so much been so misunderstood.  Darn us Americans—we must be really stupid.

Fact is the guy just won’t or can’t tell the truth.  He’s manufactured more Whoppers than Burger King.  If the truth were ice cream, Mr. Obama would be diagnosed as lactose intolerant. He’s the empty suit in the room that just keeps turning out one fictitious statement after another.

Unfortunately Mr. Obama has told so many whoppers it’s difficult to understand when he’s actually telling the truth.  Like this one—when speaking of Obamacare---he said; “If you like your plan, you can keep your plan.  If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.”  Really?  Looked into what the Affordable Healthcare Act will do to this country over the course of the next few years IF it isn’t repealed.  You’ll wish you had a Link Card.

And this one produced in February 2009; “Contrary to the prevailing wisdom in Washington these past few years, we cannot simply spend as we please and defer the consequences to the next budget, the next administration or the next generation.  That’s why today I’m pledging to cut the deficit we inherited in half by the end of my first term in office.”   Well Mr. President, you’ve got fewer than 100 days left in term number one. And hopefully your first term will be your ONLY term.

During a conversation with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos in 2010, Mr. Obama added this nugget: “My critics say everything’s a tax increase, my critics say that I’m taking over every sector of the economy, you know that.  Look, we can have a legitimate debate about whether or not we’re going to have an individual mandate or not but…”(George Stephanopoulos) “But you reject that it’s a tax..” (Obama) “ I reject that notion.”  Now, those of you on the left who haven’t hung yourself are saying, “he didn’t lie—he was just confused.”  If that’s the case, why does the Affordable Healthcare Act call for the hiring of  16,000 more IRS field agents?  Will they be emptying bed pans, or will they be chasing down all you bad Americans out there?

Look, these 3 examples are the easy ones.  In every case Mr. Obama was on camera—making these statements—so there’s no question he said them.  And as hard as you might like to believe that Mr. Obama didn’t say these things, or meant to say these things—he made these statements--and dozens and dozens just like them.

We should have been suspicious when Barack Obama couldn’t get through the oath of office without screwing it up in January 2009.   But then again, some of us were suspicious…..and then there were the rest of you who are out there wondering, “how in the world did I vote for this guy?”
