I would feel sick to my stomach and probably in a deep depression for weeks if someone took my entire retirement away, which is why I would never suggest a plan like that as a fix. Chad Grimm had a plan during the last election to fix pensions that would leave those close to retirement alone and those relatively new to the pensions (I think it was up to 10 years) would have a option to convert them…

I don't listen much to infowars ... but I don't think you understand what they are saying ... they are saying government will maybe decide to proceed FURTHER down the path of taking ALL funds from the private sector, to fund your HOLY government pension nirvana ... where government workers get riches, and the rest are their slaves. Yes ... "we" have already thought of what the totalitarians…

yesqcy- you can't seem to come to grips with the fact that the government raises taxes and fees higher than any private company could ever raise prices, to cover their pension obligations. Also the retirement amounts received by the average private company, instead of the few that collect the largest government subsidies, would be quite different. Railroad? Utilities? The BAILED-OUT car manufacturers?…

They knew who they were shooting at. And, after he ran and tried to kill an officer with his vehicle, they didn't have a choice but to shoot. His racing through town could have killed innocent pedestrians. The saying goes like this: Lie down with dogs, and you're going to get fleas. Your family member should pick better friends.

Raiders will head to Florida in week nine

Quincy Notre Dame Athletic Director and Football Coach Bill Connell says his team will play its last regular season game in Florida.

"On Friday, October 24, 2014 we will travel to Clearwater Florida, and play Calvary Christian High School @ 7:30 p.m. (eastern time. 6:30 p.m. CST)," Connell wrote in a weekend e-mail to the Quincy media.

This gives the Raiders a full slate of nine games for the season.
