What a ridiculous story! (Probably should've been published in "The Onion" instead of in the Daily Mail.)

The article DOES state that the killer IS a Mexican national, CoolEdge. (The following is copied and pasted directly from the linked FoxNews article) FBI agents say Deniz, a Mexican national and green card holder, “admitted to shooting three people with a .22-caliber rifle and then driving away from the scene in the victims’ vehicle.”

Notwithstanding this somewhat reasonable reply and WC's self-righteous bloviating, the news media opened the door on this by reporting anything about it in the first place. The lack of any followup is curious to say the least. Applies to both the "apparent suicide" and the body found behind Dollar General. Not to say it hasn't happened many times in the past, but it is still curious…

Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals denies Madigan petition on concealed carry ban

From wmay.com: The full 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has turned down Attorney General Lisa Madigan's request to reconsider an earlier ruling that found the state's ban on concealed carry to be unconstitutional.

That earlier ruling from a three-judge panel ordered the state to repeal its ban and replace it with a reasonable concealed carry law by June.  Madigan had asked the full 10-judge panel to review the case, but that request was rejected on a 5-4 vote; one justice did not participate in the discussion on the request for rehearing.

There was no immediate word on whether Madigan would attempt a further appeal of the ruling.
