18th District Congressman starting to sound more like he'll get in the race

From nbcchicago.com: Peoria Rep. Aaron Schock says he's considering a run for Illinois governor and hopes some of the other potential GOP candidates will step aside.

"The less bloodletting, the better," said Schock, who has been a rumored name on the gubernatorial candidate list for some time. Others include state Treasurer Dan Rutherford, Sen. Kirk Dillard, Sen. Bill Brady and businessman Bruce Rauner.

At only 31 years old Schock says age will not be a factor in his decision to run. He was only 18 when elected to an Illinois school board and went on to become one of the state's youngest legislators on record.

He suggested Thursday that while "I cannot tell them not to run" some of those from his own party who ran before are wasting their time.
