Grand prize awarded during Showcase of Excellence

Charles and Denise Rossiter of Quincy won the $100,000 grand prize of the Quincy High School Alumni Association's Big Blue Raffle.

The top four winners were announced during Saturday's Showcase of Excellence program.  The other top prize winners were $25,000 to Bernie Koch of Liberty, $10,000 to Ila Johnson of Quincy and $5,000 to the Bower family of Quincy.

Leading up to the grand prize announcement, smaller prizes had been awarded at basketball games and other school events, giving away 10 $1,000 prizes, 20 $500 prizes and 66 $250 prizes starting last fall.

Officials did not say if their goal of selling 5,000 tickets was reached. Tickets were sold at $100 apiece.
