A public figure that did a good job mixing things up. I did not agree with him many times, but glad he was there to balance the board(he really does love the sound of his own voice). It is important to know when to exit the stage, I think he is doing that at the right time.

Maybe you are the guys that went south! Must like the buddy system that has been goin on for years! Take off your blinders and look at some of these people and there back rounds (education, work experience). I can't wrap my head around a janitor giving advice on construction aspect of a building! I agree this movie is probably crap. What nitwit thought this was good subject matter. North Korea may not be a great nation, but joking about assassinating the leader of any country seems in poor taste. I think the sony boys were just stupid and now the war mongers are rattling their sabres. The first amendment protects stupidity, it just can't prevent it.

this $1000 for wear and tear on the streets "tears" me up. years ago, Good Sam wanted to put about 50 cluster homes south of Cherry Lane about were 18th St would be if it went thru. This was going to require truck load after truck load of fill to be hauled in on the old beat up Cherry Lane. I addressed the planning commission with the question of who was going to fix the street. They all looked at…

Illinois Approves "Sign and Drive" for Traffic Violations

4 months, 1 week ago Associated Press

Driver's License will no longer be taken for certain types of traffic offenses

From Associated Press:

Gov. Pat Quinn has signed legislation ending the practice of posting a driver's license as security after certain types of traffic citations.

Quinn's office made the announcement late Saturday evening. The Chicago Democrat says the measure will help Illinois motorists hold onto a vital piece of identification and also allow law enforcement officials to do their jobs.

The legislation was sponsored by Democrats Sen. Michael Noland of Elgin and Rep. John D'Amico of Chicago.

It eliminates posting a driver's license as bail for certain traffic offenses. Instead, it allows drivers to sign a citation as their guarantee that they will appear in court or pay a fine.

The "Sign and Drive" legislation will take effect immediately with the governor's signature. The bill is SB2583.
