They sell tents at Wal-Mart. Based on the quality of work they do that would be to good for them.

I am happy for Rome also. Does the law require that all that time and money be spent to look for a new person when he was the man to start with? Just curious. All three were great picks but Rome has a lifetime of experience with this type of thing.

I wish it showed a line item cost for the Gov. Mansion (utilities, security, maintenance, etc.) I doubt that Rauner would live there either. "It would be cheaper to own a Hotel/Motel in Springfield and have the elected officials stay there when in town and the other rooms would help pay for it. The sale of those homes would buy a hotel/motel".

I LOVE seeing all the positive comments. Great choice made by the board. QPD is going in the right direction. Congrats Rome!

Marion County Ambulance District now works with a major St. Louis area pediatric hospital

The Marion County Ambulance District is now working with the Pediatric/Neonatal Transport Team at SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center to provide transport services for critically ill newborn and pediatric patients.

The service will be provided to patients and hospitals in Northeast Missouri and West Central Illinois.

The service started June 9th with a two person team based at the Marion County Ambulance district and one base in Hannibal.

The District only needed to make a few changes to house the new crew members 24 hours a day – 7 days a week.

The St. Louis crew members are specially trained and use specialized equipment with seriously ill newborn and pediatric patients.

Hospitals connected with the service include Blessing Hospital, Hannibal Regional Hospital, Illini Community Hospital in Pittsfield and hospitals in Mexico, Louisiana and Lincoln County.
