Notwithstanding this somewhat reasonable reply and WC's self-righteous bloviating, the news media opened the door on this by reporting anything about it in the first place. The lack of any followup is curious to say the least. Applies to both the "apparent suicide" and the body found behind Dollar General. Not to say it hasn't happened many times in the past, but it is still curious…

They note right up front the murdered couple was Native American, why don't they also note the killer was a Mexican national?

There is no difference! They both enjoy taking money from people who work for it and giving it to the leeches. They also have no problem killing the unborn and selling their body parts. They are both selfish and lazy. Neither has any redeeming value in life. In the old days they would have all starved to death do to their failure to plant or harvest food for the winter.

Actually, Hydro, you don't have "every right" to know who the deceased gentleman is (unless you're his next of kin). You merely paid your taxes; that one (insignificant) fact does not give you the "right" to know any darned thing about the man. (Using your logic, the identities and the home addresses of crime victims would be announced every night on the 10 o'clock news, simply to…

Quinn, GOP's Rauner announce campaign donations

For now, Rauner has raised more money

Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn and Republican gubernatorial challenger Bruce Rauner have filed their latest campaign reports with the state.

Rauner on Tuesday announced he raised more than $9 million in the first three months of the year.

Quinn says he raised $5 million in the first quarter, much of it from labor unions. He spent little of it defeat a little-known challenger in last month's Democratic primary. Quinn finished the quarter with $8.8 million in his campaign fund.

Rauner defeated three rivals in the March primary. His fundraising total includes millions of his own money. But the wealthy businessman from Winnetka says he's received more than 6,900 individual donations since he announced his bid last year.

The campaign says Rauner carried more than $1.3 million into the second quarter.
