Vile and disgusting "humor" about blacks is fine, as long as it comes from Democrats against blacks that have accomplishments and are Republican. Or so it would seem, given how frequently it happens. Condi Rice or Thomas Sowell are viciously attacked for leaving the Democrat "plantation". All big city mayors that have enriched a few blacks like Sharpton or Jackson, but done little for the black…

I’m sure some legal expert will correct me if I am wrong but, my understanding is that for libel to be involved it would need to be proven that the statement was false, that I knew the statement was false and some type of damages occurred. For example if a big wart grew on his nose and medical people determined it was caused by my statement then we have damages. Until these 3 things occur, in my opinion,…

The plug in digital CO monitors are nice. For like $25 mine gives a reading when it is over 30. I left a bucket of coals out for 20 minutes to test it once ... it went up to 45, I took the bucket out and it went right back down. For commercial settings they should have a couple at least and probably should read down to 20ppm. Restaurants are a little tricky since a hood on one side of the kitchen…

McCaskill pushes for child care tax credit

The U S Senate is working on a child care tax credit this week.

U S Senator Claire McCaskill of (D Missouri) said the child care tax credit bill is important because many working people - or people who want to work - are stressed over available, affordable and safe child care. "More than any other thing," McCaskill said, "it can dictate whether or not someone feels they can be productive in terms of our economy."

McCaskill said a lot of parents are having to make a tough choice as to whether to stay home because child care is not available or not affordable or to go back to work. She said that is especially true for people who are on government benefit. "This is very important that we make sure that the child care is available, McCaskill said, "because most people I've met want to work, but it has to come out and make sense financially."
