Each year I suggest the city buy up seats and shuttle people back from StL to meet the departure numbers. 1200 x $52 is $62,400, small price to pay to get the million. Have Flown Cape Air a couple of times. It is nice when the moons align. Only issue I have seen is one of their employees in St. Louis is the rudious person ! She worked the counter there and I wittness her direct actions cause a man to miss a flight. If and when I see her again, I will make sure to get her name. $13 million added to road plan for I-72

The planning committee for local road projects Thursday approved an amendment to the fiscal 2013-2016 road plan to add $13.2 million in resurfacing on Interstate 72 east of Springfield.

The project was included in Gov. Pat Quinn’s six-year transportation improvement plan announced earlier this spring.

The roadwork is included in the 2014 portion of the plan and includes resurfacing and bridge repairs on I-72 from east of Interstate 55 in Springfield to east of Overpass Road on the east side of Riverton, said Linda Wheeland, senior transportation planner for the Springfield-Sangamon County Regional Planning Commission.
