1950Brutus - Schock billed taxpayers for private plane to football game - - Quincy, IL News - QuincyJournal.com
I’m sure some legal expert will correct me if I am wrong but, my understanding is that for libel to be involved it would need to be proven that the statement was false, that I knew the statement was false and some type of damages occurred. For example if a big wart grew on his nose and medical people determined it was caused by my statement then we have damages. Until these 3 things occur, in my opinion,…
CoolEdge - Gas leak at Kelly’s - Quincy, IL News - QuincyJournal.com
The plug in digital CO monitors are nice. For like $25 mine gives a reading when it is over 30. I left a bucket of coals out for 20 minutes to test it once ... it went up to 45, I took the bucket out and it went right back down. For commercial settings they should have a couple at least and probably should read down to 20ppm. Restaurants are a little tricky since a hood on one side of the kitchen…

pjohnf - Rauner renews call for union changes during Peoria visit - Quincy, IL News - QuincyJournal.com
I believe that yes an individual should have the freedom to decide for themselves whether they join a union and get a job. However, I disagree with letting a vote of the people determine if collective bargaining is allowed. We're suppose to have representative government not pure democracy, which is anarchy.
pjohnf - Senate President Cullerton: We\'re not stalling - Quincy, IL News - QuincyJournal.com
Cullerton is a used car salesman, no offense to used car salesmen, who lies, spins and distorts the truth. The dems won't give up the power of the purse because of their fear of losing the power to buy votes with our tax dollars. If Cullerton, Madigan and the other dems really cared about Illinois and its citizens they would work to solve Illinois's budget problems not work to keep power…

1950Brutus - Holder: Ferguson police bias stoked distrust, hostility, \'toxic environment\' - Quincy, IL News - Q

Headline could just as easily read "Holder bias stoked distrust, hostility, toxic environment".

pjohnf - 7 emails reveal signs of racial bias among Ferguson officials, DOJ says - Quincy, IL News - QuincyJo

I agree the jokes were just that jokes. Were those people who sent them racists, that's hard to say but they were stupid to send the jokes on cop shop computers and during work. These people didn't commit any crimes but didn't show any wisdom in sending the jokes. I don't believe that the jokes show blatant racism but Holders standards are quite low so he'll use the jokes to…

QuincyGuy - QPD Blotter for March 5, 2015 - Quincy, IL News - QuincyJournal.com

"Ahmed A. Fayed, 29, Quincy for Driving Revoked and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Arrested at 14th and State on 03/03/15 @ 1816 while en route to the Adams County Jail to serve days for 2 previous driving revoked convictions. Lodged" Too bad Leno isn't still on.

QuincyGuy - 7 emails reveal signs of racial bias among Ferguson officials, DOJ says - Quincy, IL News - QuincyJo

I agree qfingers. If anyone thinks that Holder & Obama haven't made racial remarks about 'crackers' or 'whities' they are mistaken. Hey ever the Rev. Jesse Jackson called Obama a damn nigger and it was covered over by the liberal media.

qfingers - 7 emails reveal signs of racial bias among Ferguson officials, DOJ says - Quincy, IL News - QuincyJo

Yeah...maybe they were "inappropriate" jokes. Why don't we go though all Al Sharpton's emails and President Obama's? Think we might find an inappropriate joke or two in there? Actually don't have to look at emails...just look at what they say. EVERYBODY HAS BIAS AND PREJUDICE....it's DISCRIMINATION that you have to avoid. I don't think it's quite time for the…

QuincyGuy - Holder: Ferguson police bias stoked distrust, hostility, \'toxic environment\' - Quincy, IL News - Q

Holder is a lying crook. He shouldn't throw bricks in his glass house.

UJacks1 - Gas leak at Kelly’s - Quincy, IL News - QuincyJournal.com

One question: Who were the 'authorities' responsible for okaying the re-open after the first time, when later in the evening Kelly's had the same problem? Whoever that 'responsible' authority is needs also to be held accountable.

ONCEMORE1 - Holder: Ferguson police bias stoked distrust, hostility, \'toxic environment\' - Quincy, IL News - Q

When in the hell is Holder, Who has "resigned" EVER going to go away???

convoy32 - US clears officer in Ferguson case, criticizes police force - Quincy, IL News - QuincyJournal.com

WTF! This is so stupid, mike brown deserves what he got period! I guess its OK to just disrespect the store owner, push him out of his way and TAKE what he wanted,he is right where he belongs,in the ground 6ft. under! Oh and his racist uncle says something don't add up well probably because he can't add since he didn't finish school ! DUMB BOY!

WmMunny - Holder: Ferguson police bias stoked distrust, hostility, \'toxic environment\' - Quincy, IL News - Q

As I've said before, people play stupid games and they win stupid prizes. Holder and his kind ...... race baiters and class envy whores.

lingard2 - New security measures at IL Department of Revenue will delay state tax refunds - Quincy, IL News - Q

Delaying the refunds, will give the State of Illinois that much more money to Rob Peter to pay Paul.. I just hope I get mky refund before everything explodesl. LOL

pjohnf - Obama to ban bullets by executive action, threatens top-selling AR-15 rifle - Quincy, IL News - Quin

Who do you think BATF takes its marching orders from, the tooth fairy?

pjohnf - Senate committee will propose taking $580 million from special accounts - Quincy, IL News - QuincyJo

Is this robbing Peter to pay Paul? Everybody knows government wastes billions of our tax dollars and cutting spending is the best solution but certainly spending our limited tax dollars wisely is a step in the right direction, $37 million for open space land purchases seems stupid with all the other things state government should be doing. The democrats will never give up control of spending because…

CoolEdge - Obama to ban bullets by executive action, threatens top-selling AR-15 rifle - Quincy, IL News - Quin

Snopes has repeatedly been proven to lean left. In this case they claim as fact the president did not initiate this: "FALSE: President Obama initiated the proposed reclassification, or codified it through executive order." First, they don't know that (first part). Second: This is controversial ... anyone that believes this didn't go through the White House, and almost certainly…

pjohnf - US clears officer in Ferguson case, criticizes police force - Quincy, IL News - QuincyJournal.com

"better oversight of its recruiting, hiring and promotion procedures." In other words, ignoring liberal speak. affirmative action in hiring and promotion of police officers. Instead of hiring the best and brightest as cops, Holder's DOJ wants officers hired based solely upon their skin color. With 67% majority of black residents in Ferguson, it's the citizens that are at fault if they didn't…
