Why in the world would the Governor's office be involved in this at all? Have we really reached this level of ridiculousness?

pjohnf - Foes pushing to kill school funding reform - Quincy, IL News - QuincyJournal.com

Cutting Wheaton-Warrenville Superintendent Jeff Schuler's salary would go a long way to funding schools. I don't begrudge anyone for making as much money as they can but $225K for a pencil pushing bureaucrat seems excessive. School funding needs to be addressed but this proposal needs more study before it is passed.

1950Brutus - Quincy, IL News - QuincyJournal.com - Illinois Senate committee votes to send minimum-wage hike to t

Private enterprise will adjust/adapt and survive. If $10 and hour goes through in a few years we will marvel at how a robot can cook and serve a hamburger - and with a SIMI voice.

Strawman1 - Strawman: Islamic Terrorism.....The Elephant In The Room Is Wearing A Berka - Quincy, IL News - Quin

LOB: the main theme here is that Mr. Obama, by his actions and rhetoric, is a protector of radical Muslims, as is his guy Holder. Obama and Holder either haven't come to terms that the jihadists--- who are doing the killing, raping and maiming---are just a bunch of crazies who have no religious affiliation---or they're being instructed by someone NOT to. As far as Obama is concerned, this…

UJacks1 - my answer is NO - you are wrong to assume all social service workers are government jobs. Since my answer is NO can I assume that the remainder of your post doesn't apply because it explains nothing you are suggesting it explains?? For the record I do not recommend anybody pass a stopped school bus and I personally don't know anyone who worked with Lois Lehrner and my job is NOT…

eightthirty8 - Quincy, IL News - QuincyJournal.com - Illinois Senate committee votes to send minimum-wage hike to t

I love the arrogance and hypocrisy behind the idea of paying people what they are "worth". Do you really think all businesses are providing society with a truly and equally valuable service? A corporation like McDonald's makes society pay at least twice...directly and indirectly through the health effects of eating their nutrition lacking food, not to mention all those companies that monopolize…

As if a bunch of derelict Illinois politicians could solve anything, let alone solve any perceived problems at the IHSA. These politicians should stick to what they already don't know and that's running Illinois into the ground for their own enrichment.

Why are healthcare costs going up? I thought ObamaCare was supposed to fix that? Why are any "volunteers" from the council payed "benefits" like healthcare? Didn't they choose to run for office? To volunteer for a civil post? Why aren't they on ObamaCare? Isn't that what it was devised to do? Get healthcare for those who do not have any? If I need to BRIBE a person to run for office…
