I've been doing news for more than half of my life...25 years counting my KOMU days at Mizzou until now...and I continue to be amazed with people's obsession over the weather.

I just don't get it.

It's not like you can do anything about it. If we're going to get 10 inches of snow, great. Deal with it and move on.

The forecasting business is a good one because you can be consistently wrong and there are really no repercussions.

Maybe if we lived in a place where it was sunny and 70 300 days a year, it wouldn't matter as much. But we live in a place where the weather changes are drastic and frequent.

Now, I've gotta go buy milk and bread before all of you yahoos stock up on it.
