QPSB met in special session Tuesday night to interview one additional superintendent candidate
The Quincy Public School board met in special session Tuesday night to interview an additional superintendent candidate.
School Board President Bill Daniels said the Board interviewed one candidate and added “I do not think we will vote on anything at tomorrow’s meeting.”
Three other candidates were also interviewed during a special meeting Saturday, January 19.
Former superintendent Lonny Lemon resigned last year to take a position with a suburban Chicago school district in Arlington Heights.
Cal Lee currently serves as the district's interim superintendent.
Last week QPS Assistant Superintendent Trish Viniard accepted the superintendent position at the LaGrange-Highland School District 106 in suburban Chicago. She'll begin her job there July 1.
The School Board will meet again Wednesday, January 23 at 7:00 p.m.
