Quincy's city-wide cleanup Saturday
7 months, 4 weeks ago
The city of Quincy wants to remind residents the cleanup is being held from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at the empty lot on Front and Delaware streets.
The city offers this annual event to assist residents in disposing of unwanted items that aren't typically collected with weekly residential service.
However, certain items can't be accepted due to certain regulations. That includes things like antifreeze, poison, yardwaste, appliances containing freon and most electronic items such as computers.
To access the disposal site, residents will use Payson Avenue starting at Sixth Street and heading west toward Front Street. The Quincy Police Department and employees of Allied Waste will direct vehicles to the disposal area. Residents will be required to show proof of a Quincy address.
