Quincy Public Schools events occurring the week of February 19

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 19

Adams Elementary – Junior Ranger Program – 1:20 to 2:10pm (Rodemich’s class), 2:15 – 3:00pm (Whitfield’s class)  Mr. Groesch and his partner are going to begin the Junior Ranger Program with our 3rd grade students.  Students receive  7 lessons  from  The Army Corp of Engineers about their jobs including forestry lessons, water safety and boating info, water pollution, the web of life and animal pelts. 

Early Childhood and Family Center – Love and Logic Parenting Class – 9am and 5:30pm – Final session of the parenting class that teaches techniques to help parents teach their children to be respectful, responsible and fun to be around! 

Ellington Elementary – SMART KIDS Art Center Visit – 1:45 to 2:45pm -  The Quincy Art Center is partnering with the Quincy Public Schools to bring art education and appreciation to students at Ellington.  Students visit the art gallery and make a puppet in the work area.

WEDNESDAY,  FEBRUARY 20

Ellington Elementary – SMART KIDS Art Center Visit – 1:45 to 2:45pm -  The Quincy Art Center is partnering with the Quincy Public Schools to bring art education and appreciation to students at Ellington.  Students visit the art gallery and make a puppet in the work area.

Ellington Elementary – ISAT Parent Night – 6pm - Ellington third grade parents are invited to come in and learn more about the ISAT test and how to help prepare their children for this important assessment. 

 THURSDAY,  FEBRUARY 21

Early Childhood and Family Center  - Screening – 8:15 to 11:30am and 12:30 to 2:30pm - Children being screened for eligibility to attend the program next year

Quincy Senior High School – Sadie Hawkins Dance,  QHS Commons,  7:30 – 10:30pm
