Quincy man busted for meth on Broadway

Charles W. Barger was on parole for a previous meth-related charge


West Central Illinois Task Force served a search warrant on a Quincy man's apartment Friday morning.

Master Sergeant Patrick Frazier of the task force reports that the warrant was served at 807 Broadway, apartment #4. Seized as a result of the warrant was a shake and bake methamphetamine laboratory. 

A resident of apartment #4, Charles W. Barger, age 38 was arrested on the charge of Aggravated Unlawful Participation in the Production of Methamphetamine.

Barger, who is currently on parole from the Illinois Department of Corrections on a 2009 methamphetamine case, was lodged in the Adams County Jail.

The Task Force was assisted on the warrant by the Adams County Sheriffs Office, Quincy Police Department, and the Illinois State Police Meth Response Team.
