41 year old Scott Roan is accused of possessing meth with intent to distribute.


A Quincy man has been arrested on federal charges of Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine. Scott Roan, 41, was arrested without incident on Wednesday morning.

Officers with the Adams County Sheriff's Department and the U.S. Marshall's Service located Roan in the 1200 block of North 11th at 11:20 am.

According to Adams County Sheriff Brent Fischer, Roan was originally arrested and charged in July of 2012 on state charges . He was initially charged with two counts of Methamphetamine Precursors 30-150 grams and one count of Methamphetamine Delivery.

The Adams County States Attorney's office agreed to drop those charges so Roan could be charged in federal court.

He will be transported to Springfield to await his first court appearance in federal court.
