Melva Anders went missing Monday afternoon; Was found around 10 p.m.

UPDATE: Anders was found around 10 p.m. She was safe and sound.

The Quincy Police Department is currently investigating a missing person case.

Melva M. Anders is 69 years of age.  She is a white female, 5’04’’ tall,  and weighs about 120 lbs.  Ms. Anders wears glasses and has brown hair. She was last seen wearing a grey jacket with “Notre Dame” written in yellow across the front, and green shorts. 

Ms. Anders was last seen in the 500 block of Sycamore in Quincy early this afternoon.  She went out for a walk and never returned home.  According to information obtained during the investigation, Ms. Anders suffers from dementia and sometimes forgets where she lives.   She may be wearing a medical alert bracelet.

The Quincy Police Department and the Adam’s County Sheriff’s Dept are currently conducting search operations in the north west end of Quincy.    If anyone has any information on the whereabouts of Ms. Anders, or has information regarding the investigation, they are asked to call the Quincy Police Department, or simply dial 911.
