Kappa Delta Pi, Quincy University’s Education Honor Society, is hosting a Scholastic Book Fair from September 12th through September 16th, during Homecoming weekend. This event benefits the School of Education Reading Center (serving local K-8 students struggling with reading and writing) and Brenner Library’s Instructional Media Center (serving QU and the community with teaching materials and children/young adult books).  

 

This event is open to all members of Quincy University and the surrounding areas of Quincy.  

The book fair and all events will be held in the basement of Brenner Library, near the Qyo Sweet Treats Café. 

 

In celebration of Homecoming and Scholastic’s designated theme, All-Stars, KDP will be hosting several events that center on literacy and our own QU All-Stars. The events are listed below.

Wednesday, September 12th 

4 - 8 pm: Book Fair

4 - 5 pm: QU Faculty Preview

 

Thursday, September 13th

4:30 - 9 pm: Book Fair 

7 - 8 pm: Story Time with Clifford!! (Story, Activity, and a Treat!)

 

Friday, September 14th

4:30 - 8:30 pm: Book Fair: 

6 - 7 pm: All-Star Story Time & Activity!!!

 

Saturday, September 15th

12 - 5 pm: Book Fair 

1 - 2 pm: Tentative Activity 

2 - 3 pm: Legacy Martial Arts presentation (From Quincy, IL)

3:30 - 4: 30 pm: All-Star Characters!!!

 

Sunday, September 16th

11am - 2 pm: Book Fair
