Lower costs? Fewer pickups? Lower salary? The same trucks, running the same routes because some people will still be putting yard waste out. And if you think City workers will cut their own paid hours because of fewer pickups, you're delusional.

If I were a betting man.... I would bet that the city council on Monday does not pass the budget. it will be like 9-5 opposed. Then a special council meeting on Thursday to try and pass a budget on Friday.

You're 100% right that it would change what some people do, including - it seems - yourself. And do you know what that would result in? Lower costs to the city. Fewer pick-ups due to people doing it themselves means lower vehicle maintenance. Lower salary expense due to decreased hours. Yes, some people would stop using the service, which reduces the EXPENSE of providing that service. The point…

Todd D Wombles, 912 Summitt Dr for an Adams County FTA warrant. He was located at 20th and Cedar on 9-29-11 at 0018 hrs.  Lodged.

Altheia L. Buckner, 513 Hampshire, apt. 230, for Deceptive Practice, which occurred on 08/15/11 at Cougar's Den, 509 S. 9th.  Lodged in the Adams Co. Jail.

Jason L. Tew, 1021 N. 5th, Apt. 3, for Burglary to the Illinois National Guard Armory, 702 Koch's Lane, at 1017 hrs of 09/28/11.  Lodged in the Adams Co. Jail 

Lindsi N Bowen, 2905 Payson Hts and Brittany K Chapell, Columbia, MO reported that  each had a wallet taken from Bowen's vehicle while it was parked at 625 Maine on 9-25-11 between 0100 hrs and 0330 hrs. 

At 1846 hrs of 09/25/11, Greg Wingerter, Ranger for Quincy Park District, reported several electrical sockets were broken and graffitti painted on the main shelter house/restroom at Washington Park.
Shayna J. Elledge, 1406 State, reported someone broke the passenger window on her 98 Oldsmobile and also the glass in her front door at 0315 hrs of 09/25/11.

Dawn M Harr, 807 N 7th reported her residence was entered on 9-24-11 between 1200 hrs and 1430 hrs.  She reported several DVDs and computer games were taken. 

Kohl J. Schuckman, 1513 N. 13th, reported someone stole his brown Mongoose bike from the Quincy Mall, 3301 Broadway, between 1700/1800 hrs of 09/28/11. 

Sammel Baehr 609 N 66th for speeding at 27th and Broadway on 09-08-11 at 1113 hours. NTA

Dane Douglas 917 Madison for hit and run and improper backing at 713 Sth 14th on 09-19-11 at 1501 hours.

Credit Pro Autos 4929 Broadway had the front and back window broken out of a car on their lot. The damage happened between 09-18-11 at 1900 hours and 09-19-11 at 1245 hours.

Erika Stollberg 2033 S Sheridan Dr. reports her Samsung cell phone was stolen from her unlocked locker at QJHS on 09-08-11.
