The race card gets pulled out when the liberals don't have any logical arguments left in their bag. They are saying "I can't win this debate with facts so I will assault your character". It is an attempt to win by intimidation. Very sad.

It was specifically stated at the public forum at St. Peter's that the project would not exceed $89 million. They even mentioned that if the architects were to come to them later and say it would, they would have to rework the plan.

Didn't Hannibal just put in a new school or two? I can't find the story on planned vs. spent, but I don't hear a lot of hollering about cost overruns, etc. I just remember the story with the open house to show off their new, state-of-art facility.

I still think that there is no way they can guarantee that this project is only going to be $89M. Take a look to the North to another huge government sponsored building at Ft. Madison Prison. Years late and 10's of millions in cost over run. There is simply no way that they can promise this won't cost a penny more than $89M and what happens when it does (and it will by a minimum of 15%)?…

Maria Kellina McPherson, 19, of 1420 Quail Creek Drive was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Cannabis 2.5 to 10 grams, and Possession of a Controlled Substance at 1001 No. 24th (Resevoir Park) on 4/2/13. She was lodged in the Adam's County Jail.

Austin J. Harly, 18, of 618 So. 21st was arrested for operating an uninsured vehicle at 36th and Broadway on 5/1/13.

Leaha B. Cunningham, 18, of Lima for uninsured vehicle and warrant for cruelty to animals.

Andrew Dettmer, 22, of Quincy for shoplifting at Kohl's on 3/25. 

Joshua Hoeper, 33, of Bloomington, IL, for speeding in a school zone at 32nd & Maine on 3/21. 

Tracy Shutte, 43, of Quincy for speeding at 32nd & Maine on 4/3.  

Tammy Terrell, 28, of 1534 S 5th for retail theft at Walmart on 3/12. 

Kent M. Doran, of 410 Henderson St., Canton, Mo., reported someone stole a Sony Cybershot digital camera from his 93 GM truck between 02-11/16-13 while it was parked in front of 1200 Park Place. 

Daniel P. Lipp, of 927 N. 4th, reported someone entered his residence between 1300 hrs of 03/23/13 and 1200 hrs of 03/25/13. Nothing was reported missing. 

Diana Bockenfeld of Quincy reports two unauthorized transactions on her debit card on 3/17.

Casadie Winner of Quincy reports her vehicle was hit and run while parked at Quincy Mall on 3/20.

Ernest D. Tuley, Jr., of 804 N. 24th, reported an unknown vehicle struck his 08 Chevrolet while it was parked in the Village Inn parking lot, 200 N. 36th, between 0930/1030 hrs of 03/31/13.
