I doubt you'll see the police do much unless real money is lost. You have to get a warrant to trace the #. Then you're likely across state lines or countries and all they can do is report to another police dept to take investigate and care of it. And if no money has been lost there's not exactly a big payoff for them to investigate. I'm not sure attempted theft is even a crime.

Wendy K. Summers, 1106 S. 19th for Stop Sign Violation and Operation of Uninsured Vehicle at 12th & Harrison on 11/12/12 at 1221 hrs.  Summers was released on NTA. 

Ashley K. Woodworth, 819 N. 5th for Driving while License Suspended at 18th & State on 11/12/12 at 0810 hrs.  Woodworth was released on cash bond.

Christopher J. Towery, Beardstown, IL for Failure to Secure a Child in a Restraint Device at 36th & Broadway on 11/13/12 at 0928 hrs.  Towery was released on D.L

Matthew C. Schroder, 4703 Lynnwood Ct. for Peace Disturbancw at 606 Maple on 11/06/12 at 0649 hrs.  Schroder was released on NTA. 

Amy L. Davis, Keokuk, IA for Failure to Reduce Speed / Accident at 25th & Broadway on 11/13/12 at 1427 hrs.  Davis was released on PTC. Jon S Ruths, 49, Paloma, IL for improper driving at I-172 and IL 104 on 11-18-12 at 1429 hrs.  NTA. 

Matthew D Norton, 19, 1810 Lind for failure to wear seatbelt at 18th and Elm on 11-13-12 at 1524 hrs.  PTC. 

Kyle F. Davis, 4612 N 24th reports the storage area of 640 N. 12th was entered between 11/05/12 and 11/09/12, and four boxes of floor tiles, and two pairs of leather boots were stolen. 

Jay L. Dodd, Hannibal, MO reports between 1430 and 1530hrs on 11/10/12 the the left outside mirror on his 1999 Chevrolet was struck        and damaged by an unknown vehicle, while it was parked in front of 1415 N. 8th.
