Unpredictable. Exasperating. Boisterous and independent. That's Ramona Quimby for you. And now, Ramona is one step closer to her grand Quincy debut!

Quincy Community Theatre is pleased to announce the “troublesome” cast of Ramona Quimby, based on the best-selling books by Beverly Clearly, running October 25-28. Ramona is always aggravating her older sister, Beezus, constantly getting into trouble, and sometimes "making a big, noisy fuss" when things don't go her way. As narrator, Beezus introduces the Quimby family and friends and thereby sets the scene for the collection of vignettes that trace Ramona’s tumultuous passage through third grade and through her family relationships. The teacher’s wrath, an important family wedding, persistent sibling bickering and Mr. Quimby’s attempts to give up smoking are part of the fabric that shapes a humorous, loving family portrait.

Leading this vibrant production are Allyson Hayden as Ramona Quimby, Abby Biswell as Beezus, Lauren Tweedell as Susan, Eric Hudson as Howie, Penny Lock as Mrs. Quimby, Paul Denckla as Mr. Quimby, Mindy Holthaus as Aunt Bea, and Josh Kollitz as Uncle Hobart.      

Also bursting onto the scene are Beth Deters as Mrs. Kemp, Sharon Tieken as Mrs. Griggs, Kevin Williams as Mr. Frost, Russ Goodell as the Old Man, Doris Sanders as Selma, and Jordan Lefever as Tammy. The Ensemble includes Andrew Arnold, Eddie Binosi, Emma Binosi, Olivia Clayton, Raven Cullo, Tommy Harrison, Devin Hermsmeier, Angela Ketteman, Jeremy Kurfman, Ellie Lock, J.R. McNeil, Jason Orr, Jazmin Schwartz, Jack Staff, Meg Stalder, and Morgan Widmer.

This production is under the direction of Brandon Thomsen, QCT's Student Theatre Director. Scenic and Lighting Design are by Seth Campbell, QCT’s Assistant Technical Director. Costumes by Anna Grywalski, QCT’s Costume Designer.
