Auditions are September 24 & 25 by appointment only
Join the ranks of the undead with Quincy Community Theatre's production of Dracula: A Radio Play. Auditions are September 24 & 25 by appointment only.
Our version of the play takes place after Lucy has died and Mina is already under Dracula's spell. It is performed with Script-in-Hand, over live microphones, and has two live sound effects operators recreating the sound effects just like in the golden era of Radio Dramas.
The cast consists of some of the most famous characters in vampire literature: Jonathan Harker, the young London solicitor who is sent to Transylvania; Miss Mina Murray, his beautiful fiancée; Van Helsing, the mysterious professor with knowledge of the undead; and, of course, the centuries-old vampire and Transylvanian nobleman, Count Dracula.
Rehearsals are Oct. 1-4 & 9-11, with performances on Oct. 12 & 13 at 7:30 PM. A full copy of the script and character descriptions can be found on our website at www.1qct.org. To reserve your audition appointment, call the QCT Box Office at 217.222.3209.
Tickets to this spooky production are $12 for Adults and $10 for Students, on sale now at www.1qct.org or at the QCT Box Office. The media sponsors for Quincy Community Theatre's 2012 Season are STARadio, Charter Media, WGEM, the Quincy Herald-Whig, KHQA, and Media Development.
