Wall Street was solidly in the Romney/Ryan camp last time, pjohnf. (And assuming he's the nominee, they'll certainly be in Ryan's camp in 2016.) Why is it that you seem to think that they're Obama supporters?

When did presidential libraries start taking this kind of funding? (I always thought they were privately funded... or at least I remember hearing that the Clinton and Bush #43 libraries were being done that way.)

Off-topic, but just to clarify, I will say that the disabled individuals that I've worked with aren't the least bit interested in free phones or anything like that. (Many of them will never live independently in their own communities; any such "bribes" would be meaningless to them.) Of course there are opportunists who do try to take advantage of every social program under the sun, and…

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Reagan, Bush 1, Clinton, and Bush 2, had libraries built with private funds. I can't believe Soros or Buffett (or the Clinton's ;P) aren't contributing to the bill for Obama. Rahm is even stumping for it, as he says it will be a big tourism money maker. Hey, I'm all for it, if it is. On a side note, I think this is the first presidential…

I honestly couldn't care less about anybody's party affiliation. This ID issue actually has A LOT to do with poor people, the elderly, and people with disabilities -- regardless of their personal politics. (There are a lot of poor people in the south who are lifelong Republicans.) Arbitrarily-enacted voter ID laws ultimately won't disenfranchise you or me... but they do have a real…

Pepsi Mid-Season Championship results from Quincy Raceways

1 year, 10 months ago By Jack Walbring

Dustin Griffin, Michael Long, Abe Huls, Tony Dunker, Brian Hoener and Mike Hornung Jr. all picked up the Annual Pepsi Mid Season Championship feature event wins at Quincy Raceways on Sunday June 10.

Griffin made a clean sweep of the UMP Super Late Model division as he picked up wins in his hear, dash and the 30 lap Pepsi Mid-Season Championship feature. Jason Perry battled furiously with Griffin for the first seventeen laps of the main event but a slip on turn four on the eighteenth lap sent Perry to the tail of the field on the restart. Jim Moon then took over the top spot for three circuits but Griffin roared back to reclaim the lead to the checkered flag. Moon settled for second followed by Denny Woodworth in third, Mark Burgtorf in fourth and Jerry Lierly in fifth. Perry grabbed the win in the other heat race.

Michael Long started the twenty five lap Miller Lite Ump Modified Mid Season Championship feature event from third row and did not take the lead until the sixteenth circuit. Long held off Steven DeLonjay for the win with early leader, Dave Wietholder claiming third ahead of Jared Schlipman and Jake Griffin. Schlipman, Wietholder and Ryan Porter were the heat race winners.

Abe Huls managed to lead every lap of the IMCA Stock Car main event but he had to hold off a very determined field to get the job done. Darin Weisinger grabbed the second spot followed by Michael Larsen in third, Terry Houston in fourth and Jerry Jansen in fifth. Larsen scored the lone heat race win.

Tony Dunker took his fifth feature win in eight tries in the Summy Tire and Auto Center IMCA SportMod Pepsi Mid Season Championship event. Dunker held off Bobby Anders in second Tanner Klingele in third, Joe Bliven in fourth and Brad Holtmeyer in fifth. Vance Wilson and Dunker were the heat race winners.

Brian Hoener took the lead in the Quincy Hobby Stock Pepsi Mid Season Championship feature event on the third lap and held off all challengers to take his second feature win of the season. Jeff DeLonjay scored his best finish of the year in second followed by Jaime Bevill in third, Nathan Hayes in fourth and Justin Bevill in fifth. Hoener and Jake Powers were the heat race winners.

Andrew Davis led the first six laps of the IMCA Sport Compact main event but Mike Hornung Jr. took over the top spot on lap seven and held off Chuck Fullenkamp over the final four laps to take the Pepsi Mid Season Championship feature event win. Fullenkamp settled for second with William Michel in third, Kimberly Abbott in fourth and Seith Woodruff in fifth. Woodruff and Robert Thompson Jr. were the heat race winners.
