Park District seeking input on Leon Bailey Park

The Quincy Park District is seeking input on Leon Bailey Park's playground equipment.
An open house is taking place at the facility, located on a half acre at Seventh and Elm, at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27.
District officials sent letters to area residents requesting their presence at the open house. Officials want to know what kind of playground users would like to see put in place.
District employees say they can go with standalone components, or a larger one-piece playground. When they get an idea of what residents want, they will be able to budget for that for the upcoming fiscal year.
Officials will take the input and come back to the residents in spring to look at the proposals.
