I would feel sick to my stomach and probably in a deep depression for weeks if someone took my entire retirement away, which is why I would never suggest a plan like that as a fix. Chad Grimm had a plan during the last election to fix pensions that would leave those close to retirement alone and those relatively new to the pensions (I think it was up to 10 years) would have a option to convert them…

I don't listen much to infowars ... but I don't think you understand what they are saying ... they are saying government will maybe decide to proceed FURTHER down the path of taking ALL funds from the private sector, to fund your HOLY government pension nirvana ... where government workers get riches, and the rest are their slaves. Yes ... "we" have already thought of what the totalitarians…

yesqcy- you can't seem to come to grips with the fact that the government raises taxes and fees higher than any private company could ever raise prices, to cover their pension obligations. Also the retirement amounts received by the average private company, instead of the few that collect the largest government subsidies, would be quite different. Railroad? Utilities? The BAILED-OUT car manufacturers?…

They knew who they were shooting at. And, after he ran and tried to kill an officer with his vehicle, they didn't have a choice but to shoot. His racing through town could have killed innocent pedestrians. The saying goes like this: Lie down with dogs, and you're going to get fleas. Your family member should pick better friends.

John Wood Community College will host a free Nursing Information Night Wednesday, November 28, at 7 p.m. in the Mary Ellen Orr Auditorium on the JWCC Quincy campus at 48th and Harrison

John Wood Community College will host a Nursing Information Night Wednesday, November 28, at 7 p.m. in the Mary Ellen Orr Auditorium on the JWCC Quincy campus at 48th and Harrison. The event is free and open to the public. No reservations are necessary.

The event is designed to assist students in preparing for admission to the JWCC nursing program and how it connects with regional and national healthcare careers.  Information about program requirements, length, scheduling, academic support, financial aid and career paths will be provided. 

Participants will learn more about the requirements, pre-requisites, application deadlines and process for the program.  More information and applications for JWCC’s nursing program are available at https://www.jwcc.edu/nursing .  Students are encouraged to prepare for the evening by reviewing the information on the web prior the meeting.   This will be the last information night prior to the application deadline for fall 2013 classes.
