According to an article from the local paper's website on Wednesday: Police Chief Rob Copley confirmed the two men were in custody for “a lengthy time.” “At that point, we did have them in and interrogated them regarding their possible involvement in the shooting,” he said. “We just didn’t have enough to hold them at that time.” Copley said Illinois law requires probable cause for people to…

All of these resignations and firings and yet we still have Bevelheimer? How is that possible? Watched him while he waited his turn at the local doctor's office - impatient, inconsiderate, rude to the nurses. I guess he thinks he's better than the rest of the patients sitting in the same waiting room?

Exactly. Reading and thinking are wonderful traits in those who intend to vote. Listen to LaHood campaign ad: fight for - but not winning? defend the Constitution - isn't that in the oath of office? If you listen carefully you will learn that LaHood's ads tell the voter NOTHING. He is a lawyer after all. Clinton, Obama, LaHood - all lawyers - and how are they doing? "I believe that" and "It…

Sign project cost $450,000 and there was already a Missouri 110 south of St. Louis when the new Missouri 110 was created

From newspressnow.com:

But not everyone is sold on the “CKC” signs having any great impact for the region.

“It’s unnecessary,” said Marci Bennett, executive director of the St. Joseph Convention & Visitors Bureau. “We’re pushing the Highway 36, the Way of American Genius.”

That designation refers to a pre-existing program, sponsored by the Missouri Highway 36 Heritage Alliance, to foster wide recognition of the area’s character and history for tourism and economic development.

Mrs. Bennett said the expressway is actually a detriment to travelers by piggybacking the Illinois 110 moniker into Missouri. Another Missouri 110 exists in Jefferson County, but to date there has been no push to alter that highway’s route. Officials also said there are no legal or policy prohibitions against the overlapping designations.

“People are confused,” Mrs. Bennett said. “It doesn’t come to St. Joseph. It’s very confusing. It doesn’t do anything for us. We didn’t oppose it, but we didn’t endorse it.”
