Demolishing old store and paving new lot will take another four weeks
The old store closes up at 10 p.m. tonight, and the overnight crew will move merchandise throughout the evening.
Store manager Brian Thomas said the new facility looks good with wider aisles, brighter lights and fixtures, and an additional 1,000 square feet of sales floor space.
The pharmacy area is also more "customer-friendly", Thomas said. A drive-through pharmacy has been added and will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The power to the old store will be shut off Monday, and crews hope to begin demolition shortly thereafter. They'll take about four weeks to repave the area to allow for about 35 additional parking spaces.
An official ribbon-cutting is slated for Tuesday morning, November 27.
